We were contacted by the team from Monkton Village Hall. They were looking to replace their old draughty single-glazed windows and we had just the solution.
The Project
“Panoramic as a company, excellent service. James, their main salesman, was very attentive. The hoops that we put him through, I’m surprised he didn’t give up on us. He’d answered all our questions. He was brilliant.”
– Des Wighton, chairman of the Monkton Village committee.
Monkton Hall has been at the heart of the village community for close to a hundred years and is a place where locals can socialise and hold events. The existing windows however hadn’t been looked at in a long time, and the single glazing was getting very draughty. The local team were hoping to get them replaced but needed like-for-like windows that matched the historic designs.
The Chosen Product
Panoramic were the first to suggest that the Hall be given new metal windows and we soon found a suitable style. The team settled on Fabco’s Sanctuary range of steel windows, a system that offered slim sightlines and improved energy efficiency, but also looked exactly like the old windows.
The Results
This job went without a hitch and the finished installation is incredible. We were able to retain the hall’s historic look and give it a much better chance at keeping the worst of the British weather at bay. It’s given this much-loved building a new lease on life and the best part is, the new windows fit in so well you might not even notice they aren’t the originals. A hugely rewarding job for all involved.
“Our expectations were exceeded by Panoramic. The installation was smooth and very quick. The hall was built in 1928, so it’s coming up for its 100th anniversary. This was built as a hub for the village to meet and socialise and has been used in that way ever since. It’s a feature of the village, and we wanted to preserve that. The windows had to be a like-for-like in effect with what was there originally. Panoramic were the first ones to suggest metal frame double-glazing.”
– Des Wighton.
