Beautiful Timber Windows And Doors In An Outstanding Pub Refurbishment
Panoramic worked on this charming Somerset pub and helped install some incredible new windows and doors.
The Project
Panoramic worked with existing customer Simple Simon Design of Bristol to design and specify flush windows and doors for a refurbishment project in an 18th century pub in the village of Litton in North Somerset. The brief was to work with the client, the designer and the contractor to provide a design, supply and full window and door installation service to fit in with a tight project deadline.
The Chosen Products
After long consultation with the client, with the local Parich council and the council’s Conservation Officer, Panoramic’s engineered hardwood timber flush casement windows were chosen. The client chose an agate grey colour to complement the local stone of the building. In addition Panoramic fitted a large bifold door to allow access from the lounge bar to the patio area next to the village stream. A number of timber french doors were also installed in both the bar areas and the residential letting rooms.
The Results
The project was a big challenge for all involved. As an old building, issues were encountered throught the project and Panoramic worked well with all involved to produce what is undoubtedly a stunning transformation, from a building that was closed down and in a poor state of repair; to an outstanding, popular and very impressive village amenity. Ben Rolls from Simple Simon Design said “The Litton project has contained a number of challenges for all involved. Panoramic were very patient and helpful at the design stage and while the installation was by no means the smoothest of processes, all those involved worked brilliantly together to produce this stunning result.”
